* In a match for BTI, Matt Cardona defeated Raj Singh with Radio Silence.
* Trey Miguel defeated Laredo Kid and Alex Zayne to advance to the BFG X Division 3-Way Title Match. This was an incredible match. All three were very impressive. Trey Miguel is a favorite of mine to win it all.
* Backstage, Drama King cut a vignette on Laredo Kid. He said he understands why Laredo Kid wears a mask. Next week, he wants to bring Laredo to his canvas to accept his art. Solid promo. Rehwoldt had been watching Laredo Kid's matches the past few weeks so the match makes sense. Good stuff here!
* Eddie Edwards cut a promo backstage on Morrissey. Edwards said Impact Wrestling was the land of misfit toys. Tonight in their Street Fight, it ends once and for all...Moose is next.
* The Influence (Madison and Tenille) defeated Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace to earn a KO Tag Title Match at Knockouts Knockdown. Solid tag team match. I enjoy the Influence's act so seeing them win here with their Double Front Leg Sweep was fun. They challenge Decay at Knockouts Knockdown.
* Christopher Daniels cut a promo. He was interrupted by Josh Alexander and Christian Cage, who argued. Daniels said he had his own agenda. Cage told Josh that he saved Josh last week because he wanted to best of Josh at BFG. Cage told Josh to keep his emotions in check. I am really excited to see Daniels back in Impact. It has been really cool to see people like Daniels, Kazarian, Mickie James and Christian back in Impact. This isn't something we would see a year ago. Daniels has his own agenda so I am curious what he does next. X Division Champion?
* We got a segment with The Learning Tree. Myers shouted at Beale, Dice and Lemons while they did pushups. Beale said Brian was playing favorites with VSK. Myers told them to get their act together. After Myers and VSK left, Beale handed Lemons and Zicky notebooks. Lemons squirted Lemon Juice on Zicky. I enjoy this faction. Beale, Manny and Zicky are goofs while Myers is showing favoritism towards VSK, who looks to be sticking around.
* Good Brothers cut a promo about being on vacation. They said they have been studious. Good Bros. said Bullet Club has been living off their name. Gallows proposed Finjuice vs Bullet Club with the winners facing them at BFG. I am predicting this turns into a 3-Way Tag. All three acts have histiry.
* Deonna Purrazzo drove to Mickie James house. She found her in horse stalls. They brawled in a barn. Deonna was going to use a pitchfork but barely missed. The two fought outside. Deonna eventually got the upper hand. This was so fun. I live the off-site stuff and this was a nice change in scenery.
* Finjuice cut a promo and were unhappy about the numbers game. Chris Sabin said they would be by their side and next week, in 6-Man action, they beat the Bullet Club.
* Christopher Daniels defeated Madman Fulton with the BME. Ace Austin tried to interfere but Josh Alexander came out and ran him off. This was the greatest hits for Daniels. The big surprise is Fulton kicked out of the Angel's Wings at one. The real question is what is Daniels going to be doing next?
* Time for Swingers Palace. Scott D'Amore showed up and Swinger had a deal for him. Don't go to Vegas and he gets to keep Swingers Illegal Casino. Swinger threatened to put other casinos out of business. Scott told him because he doesn't have a gaming license, he was shutting it down. Swinger's Palace is a guilty pleasure of mine. I am curious what the next step for Swinger is.
* Backstage, Ace Austin told Madman Fulton to grab the camera man. They found Scott D'Amore and complained about how this system is rigged against him. Scott said next week it would be Ace Austin and Fulton vs Josh Alexander and Christian Cage.
* Violent by Design came to the ring. Eric Young told Rhino he needed to make the right choice. The War Machine came out. EY kept asking if he would do the right thing, telling him not to force their hand. Before Rhino answered, Heath made his return. Heath cleared VBD from the ring. Heath wanted to embrace Rhino but Rhino left through the crowd without making a decision. Great to see Heath back. I like that they stretched out the Rhino decision for longer. I am guessing this leads to VBD vs Heath/Rhino at Bound for Glory.
* The new Digital Media Championship wipl be awarded at BFG in a Six Way Match. The tournament to determine the participants will kick off with John Skyler vs Zicky Dice and Hernandez vs Crazzy Steve. Also announced fir Impact is Taurus vs Maclin vs Petey in another X Division qualifier. Bullet Club will take on Finjuice and Chris Sabin. Finally, Christian Cage and Josh Alexander will face Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Don't love the name of the new title but I will give it a chance before being too judgy. So far it looks like a midcard title. Impact doesn't have a great track record with midcard belts.
* Eddie Edwards defeated W. Morrissey in a Street Fight. Alisha Edwards came out to help Eddie and helped her husband be victorious. After the match, Moose and Morrissey violently attacked Edwards. Morrissey held Alisha while Moose smash Eddie's face into a turnbuckle with a chair. They did a good job turning up the violence with the match and fallout. I am curious who Eddie finds as a partner with Callihan being sidelined. It should lead to a pretty interesting tag team match.
Overall Thoughts: This was a solid show highlighted by a good main event and very good 3-Way opener. I enjoyed a number of the mid-show segments as well (Mickie/Deonna brawl, Daniels vs Fulton, Learning Tree).
