The October spectacular and Impact Wrestling's crown jewel PPV of the year is back in the form of Bound for Glory. BFG has been home to some of the biggest matches, moments and title wins in the history of the company. Just months after the world of Impact Wrestling changed forever, we are getting the biggest show of the year. As we know by now, all roads lead to glory.
Gauntlet Battle Royal matches have a deep-rooted history at Bound for Glory. Over the past few years, they have been a springboard to catapult any wrestler towards a championship match of their choosing. Specifically, the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal is the chance of a lifetime.
At last year's Call Your Shot, Eddie Edwards came out victorious. Less than a year later, he would win the World Championship back. We also saw the returns/debuts of wrestlers like Kylie Rae and Joey Ryan. What surprises does the company have for this year?
Announced for this 20-person intergender match so far is Heath, Rhino, XXXL, Brian Myers, Tommy Dreamer, The Deaners, Alisha, Tenille Dashwood, Havok, Taya Valkyrie, Johnny Swinger and Hernandez. There are still about six slots to fill.
The most interesting story heading into this match involves Heath as this will be his last chance to earn a contract with Impact Wrestling. He has been breaking in, buying ad time and more the past few months before things broke down during contract negotiations. Even bigger is the knowledge that his friend Rhino put his job on the line. If Heath or Rhino don't come out on top, the Impact door closes on them.

At Emergence, Rohit Raju shocked the world by sneaking away with the X Division Championship by turning on his "friend" Chris Bey. The Desi Hit Man has really emerged as an interesting champion, seemingly dodging his challengers left and right.
He has constantly pitted Chris Bey, TJP and Trey Miguel against each other so they stay away from his belt. He took the countout loss to Willie Mack at Victory Road. On Impact, Jordynne Grace accepted the Defeat Rohit Challenge and defeated the champion, only to learn that it was non-title.
Scott D'Amore has had enough and has accepted the generosity of Raju by making him defend the title in a 6-Way Scramble Match at BFG. This will arguably be Rohit's toughest challenge yet. All five of his challengers have a legitimate chance to walk away with the gold, potentially even Jordynne Grace, who would be the first Knockout to hold the championship.

After Eddie Edwards returned to Impact a few weeks ago to get revenge on Eric Young, he was brutally attacked backstage by a mysterious culprit. We would learn just a few days before Victory Road and Eddie's World Title rematch that the attacker was none other than Ken Shamrock. At the command of recent tag team partner, Sami Callihan (a long-time foe to Eddie Edwards) Ken Shamrock once again attacked Eddie and locked on the Ankle Lock damaging the leg of Edwards.
The attack may have cost Eddie as he went into Victory Road at less than 100% only to lose again to Eric Young. It appears that Sami Callihan has been using Shamrock's pent-up rage to manipulate him to do his bidding. His first victim was a rival of his for many years.
These two will go at it at Bound for Glory. Shamrock was headed to the Impact Hall of Fame before CoVid hit. He has another date at BFG with a former World Champion.

For months, Moose has been defending the TNA Championship as if it were a recognized title in Impact Wrestling. He ran through Crazzy Steve, Trey Miguel, Kid Kash, Chase Stevens, Hernandez, Tommy Dreamer and many others in the past few months. At Slammiversary, we learned another former TNA World Champion in EC3 would be controlling his narrative in Impact Wrestling.
EC3's intent was to separate himself from his legacy and create a new one. To do that, he needed to destroy the TNA Title that was in Moose's possession. After a hard-fought title defense, EC3 attacked Moose and left with his title.
The next few months saw EC3 play mindgames with Moose, sending Moose from location to location. It culminated in a funeral for the TNA Championship that ended up being EC3 throwing it off a bridge. The two had a violent and bloody brawl where EC3 challenged Moose to become more than what he was.
Nobody knows what has gotten into EC3. This is a much darker and vicious side to him than anything we have seen. At Bound for Glory, he and Moose will battle in an Undisclosed Location. What will happen there is left up to the imagination.

It would be hard to argue that Impact hasn't had one of the hottest tag team title scenes in the pro wrestling industry since Slammiversary. At that PPV, the Motor City Machine Guns made their return and the Good Brothers made their Impact debut.
It was immediately following Slammiversary that the Machine Guns ended the record-breaking title reign of The North to become the new tag team champions. With the Machine Guns now on top of the mountain, their challengers have emerged.
The Good Brothers (Talk N'Shop) thought they settled their score with Ace Austin and Madman Fulton at Emergence but that doesn't seem to be the case. All four of these teams, Machine Guns, Good Brothers, The North and Ace Austin and Fulton will have an equal opportunity to walk out of Bound for Glory as the Tag Team Champions. It has been a constant game of one-upsmanship since Slammiversary as each of the teams have scored victories. Who will walk out of BFG as champions?

As part of this past Spring's Knockout resurgence, Deonna Purrazzo joined Impact Wrestling. The Virtuosa had her sights set on the Knockouts Championship. Following a victory over Jordynne Grace, she claimed the title at Slammiversary. She was successful in defending the championship at Emergence in an IronMan Match.
At Slammiversary, her next challenger was presented when "Smiley" Kylie Rae won the Knockouts Gauntlet Match to earn her title shot. While she spent a few weeks at Wrestle House, she returned this past August in a tense exchange with the champion.
At Victory Road, things got personal when Deonna Purrazzo snapped the arm of Kylie's best friend Susie following a successful title defense. What is worse is that Deonna made Kylie watch the attack up close. Vengeance is a dish best served cold as Kylie snapped at Deonna's associate, Kimber Lee weeks later on Impact.
This match should be a classic as two of the greatest women's wrestlers in the world battle over one of the most coveted titles in all of wrestling. These two will show what it means to be a Knockout at Impact Wrestling.

At Slammiversary, Rich Swann made his unexpected return in the World Title Main Event. Another former World Champion, Eric Young also made his return to the company. After Swann scored the upset elimination of Young, the World-Class Maniac violently attacked the formerly injured leg of Swann sending him packing back to the injured list.
In one of the more emotional moments of the Summer, Rich Swann came to the ring and announced his retirement from professional wrestling due to his injuries. As he was leaving the arena, the sick bastard Eric Young jumped him from behind and attacked the leg of Swann.
Young was an uncontrollable maniac the next few weeks, attacking people left and right. It was successful for him as he defeated Eddie Edwards to win the Impact World Championship. That title put a target on his back though.
Rich Swann made his return once again fending off Young from demolishing Tommy Dreamer. The following week, he pleaded to Scott D'Amore to give him a shot at the title against Young. It took some convincing but D'Amore made the match. Eric Young vs Rich Swann for the World Title at Bound for Glory.
This is one of the more emotional main events in Bound for Glory history as Swann wants revenge. He has had to climb an uphill battle for most of 2020 and this seems to be a longshot for him. With the roll that Young has been on, can Swann prove his detractors wrong and shock the world by becoming World Champion.
Eric Young has different thoughts about this. He won't let it happen. At Bound for Glory, Rich Swann's blood isn't on his hands. This is his world. It doesn't belong to them, it belongs to him.
