Tigre Uno defeated Mandrews, DJ Z and Crazzy Steve in a four-way elimination match to retain the X Division Title. Crazzy Steve snapped and did the Crossface Chicken Wing on Tigre Uno. Fun match with lots of energy and cool spots. I'm glad Mandrews finally got to showcase his in-ring skills, while Crazzy Steve ditched his clown antics and gained an edge. I'm pretty indifferent about Shane Helms, but whatever.
Rockstar Spud defeated Aiden O'Shea. Good storytelling from both guys. Spud sold a hell of a beating from the big, bad O'Shea before nailing the Underdog for the win. I think if TNA continues to flesh out his character, O'Shea could be a good roadblock for a lot of babyfaces on the roster.
Mike Bennett defeated Robbie E. After the match, Bennett said he's building a kingdom of miracles and left with Maria. Solid in-ring debut for the Miracle. Robbie got in a lot more offense than I expected, but Bennett stuck to the basics and did what he needed to do. It's a good starting point to solidify his character in TNA.
Awesome Kong defeated Madison Rayne in the final of a Gauntlet Match to become the #1 contender for the Knockouts Title. Eh, it was a dull match. The action was slow and didn't feel interesting at all. Chelsea and Deonna were nice surprises, although neither made an "impact" so to speak. I hope they keep scouting more Knockouts and sign them, damn it.
Trevor Lee defeated Pepper Parks. Solid match. Both guys looked good and worked well together. I wasn't too familiar with Parks, but I have to admit I liked what I saw. I think Lee and Parks could both be versatile in the tag team and X Divisions.
Abyss defeated Grado in a Monster's Ball match. There was a promo before the match with Pope encouraging Grado to prove that he's not a joke. Fun, chaotic match. Grado worked his butt off and put on a good performance. I also got a kick out of Pope cheering for Grado on commentary. I wonder what Grado is going to do on the UK tour.
The Wolves defeated Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz, and Kurt Angle and Drew Galloway in a three-way to retain the Tag Team Titles. Awesome match. Loved the intensity as well as the dual submissions at the end. Plus, the tease for Kurt vs. Davey was well done. I can't wait to see that match when it finally happens.
Lashley defeated Tyrus. Solid big man match. Tyrus controlled most of the match before Lashley exploded like a beast and got his revenge. By the way, Lashley needs to lose the headband. News flash: This ain't the freaking NBA, Lashley!
Beer Money defeated Bram and Eric Young. Great match. Kudos to TNA for bringing back tag team wrestling in the main event. Beer Money hasn't lost a step and looked awesome against a game EY and Bram. Overall, this was a fun night of action that progressed a few stories, so that's definitely a huge plus for the One Night Only series. Thumbs up!
