It will be complicated due to time, personal life, work, but also to avoid providing the readers with spoilers. I am only going to use the talent that TNA use or have on the roster. Therefore, if a new talent debuts I will not release any of my fantasy booked episodes of Impact until that new talent has been introduced on the TV show. Some talent I may have no clue as to what they’re like and may be required to do some research which may also be complicated due to to time constraints as well.
My main goal is not only to book a show from my perspective but to also implement the major changes that I recommended in my previous columns to provide a real alternative to the WWE, but to also work them in gradually. I hope that I can work this out and remain consistent despite a tight schedule.
Fresh blood/new crew
In my opinion, the wrestling business needs to stop going to the same old people who have continuously failed as far as booking and creative is concerned, and to try a new route. To establish a crew of highly devoted writers and bookers who care about the product and for TNA’s sake know what the fuck they are doing. Now, hypothetically in this series I am in charge and here is my crew. This crew may not completely know what in the hell we are doing but one thing is for sure we are devoted and we care with an unrivaled passion.
Please keep in mind, I see myself much more as a booker and not a creative person, and these Impacts may lack some creativity but I will provide the jist of things. I also highly believe that the best thing for pro wrestling is to go the old school route and allow the wrestlers to take an idea for a promo but do their own thing, and be in charge of the character that they portray. WWE using their shitty writers to write shitty promos for their ‘superstars’ to rehearse and say word for word is awful.

I’m missing a lot of positions, and a lot of people too. I would love to take most of this community and have the smartest group of fans and give them a job in a company that all of us want to see succeed to the highest degree.
Don’t feel left out, I don’t know the ins and outs. My friends Brad, Chairmen, Chris20k, and more I would absolutely find a job for you guys. But, going off of what I know, myself and Wake shared a very similar vision for the company; pretty much anything money, computers and marketing I trust what I know and that is that TNA Dude & Old School Heel are great at that and highly knowledgeable. I have seen great ideas from Count and trust his knowledge and passion for TNA, plus the OSDH’s taking over TNA is my most trusted vision as we all bonded and came together based on having almost identical views and visions for TNA.
I’ve seen great ideas lately from guys like MSTKI, Docteur Lobo, and The Count. There’s a lot of talent and visions at TNAsylum and I honestly feel there are smarter, and more creative people for the company than me by a good amount. TNA could honestly fish the site and come up with great ideas from a combination of people here on any given day.
Main roster/Heavyweights: Al Snow & Raven (I’d love to put Kurt Angle in this role)
At one pointa really good name came to mind as the agent for the Heavyweights/Main Roster but I forgot it and I’m truly lacking any other reasonable and logical names for the division. So, I’d love to hear some suggestions from others on this one.
Tag Teams: Road Warrior Animal
X Division: Jerry Lynn
Knockouts: Scott D’Amore
My list of desired new talents
*Truth is, my main desire is essentially to really only focus on X Division wrestlers, Knockouts, and Tag Teams as those are the one’s hurting the most. Not saying I will ignore the Heavyweights/Main Roster guys but they’re rare talents I’d want to jump on.
*I will only use reasonable names for free agents, or known upcoming free agents that I also expect to be open to TNA. So, while Adam Cole may be my number one option or close to it, I can’t see him signing with TNA even though I could possibly see Matt Taven coming in. There are a lot of talents on Lucha Underground I want to see TNA pursue after this season is over with, but they’re not an option right now.
* Keep in mind that I not only don’t watch Indy wrestling, but I also do not know everyone’s contract status either. Some names I haven’t even seen wrestle but am basing off of what I have heard from some people around here.
* Please realize that a wrestling roster is similar to a roster on a real professional sports team’s roster. Not everyone is going to be a main eventer and a superstar, there are role players for a reason. These names I mention are not all intended to be future stars or champions.
* This was updated over a week after I began to write this column, I have removed Sami Calihan, and Cherry Bomb from this list as Cherry Bomb is signed to TNA, and Calihan went elsewhere.
MAIN ROSTER TALENTS
Carlito (a guy I think can become a major star)
Chris Hero (if he loses weight, he skyrockets towards the top of this list)
Shelton Benjamin (still a strong mid-card guy that can have a great match with almost anyone)
JTG (charismatic guy that could be best utilized in a tag team)
THIS IS THE GROUP I HAVE THE LEAST KNOWLEDGE ABOUT
Mickie James (one of the biggest names that TNA can possibly get who can still go)
Allysin Kay (Almost sounded like TNA was going to get her, and a lot of positive vibes.
Although, she is one I have never seen wrestle)
Jennifer Blake (This is going off of my trust of FK9’s word as I’ve never seen her wrestle)
Killer Elite Squad (this is probably the overall best signing that TNA could make especially after losing two top tag teams and wrestlers)
LAX (I don’t care what anyone says this was one of the best teams and hottest acts in TNA history, they just need a mouthpiece so badly)
Gunner & Crimson
Bollywood Boyz (never seen these guys wrestle but TNA needs tag teams, and maybe these guys get Shera out the door, or they pair Shera with them to keep him protected and in the ring much less)
Von Erichs (nothing special but they are a tag team, they’ve been seen in TNA and they have a historic last name and likely respect the business)
Matt Taven (His style doesn’t scream X Division but he can also fit the division, better than this though is that Taven helps three divisions: the X Division, the main roster, and the tag team division. The Kingdom in the tag team division adds credibility and makes it look much better)
Trent Baretta (I don’t necessarily believe he is available, but he had interest in the past but Gaburick ruined that too. I truthfully feel this guy is good enough and charismatic enough to make the X Division relevant and great again just by adding him to the roster alone).
Matt Sydal (more name value over reasons that he goes over the next two names but he is a great talent who would help out a lot)
I cannot believe that Shynron & Rubix are not currently on the roster. They could also be magic as a tag team too.
Ra’Shad Cameron- He’s been on all the Xtravaganza shows and been on TNA TV a couple of times but the main reason he should be considered is because his tag team partner Pepper Parks just got signed. Cameron being signed would be one that helps two divisions.
Sonjay Dutt- Believe it or not, he is younger than Tigre Uno. He has been called the “greatest wrestler to never win the X Division championship.” That statement alone creates an instantly good storyline, and even better is that he may also help the Sony Six deal, and possibly greatest of all he could possibly lead to the elimination of Shera.
Brian Myers- Doesn’t necessarily scream X Division guy but he still fits, has been a champion in TNA before, and could contribute.
Veda Scott- Dual threat; Imagine her as a mouthpiece for Lashley, KES, LAX, or even some other KO’s or someone like Shera, etc. I wonder how much she could do for someone like Tigre Uno.
Dr. James Mitchell or Raven- Unfortunately, the roster has ended up so thin that the only people on the roster they fit with is The Decay who really don’t need a mouthpiece and Rosemary is basically their manager but either one could fit.
Ricardo Rodriguez- apparently he can wrestle too but he did a lot for Del Rio being able to get over in WWE because he would have failed without him. If TNA brought LAX back and tried the original concept behind the team Konnan wouldn’t be possible but Ricardo could. I also think he could do wonders for Tigre Uno as well.
Top Overall Choices
Truthfully, TNA just signed five new talents but in all honesty the roster could still use another 8-10 and I can’t honestly say that the talents signed aren’t necessarily top notched other than Cherry Bomb. I’ve narrowed this down to the top 10-15 choices overall as well:
- Killer Elite Squad: literally it’s KES or bust
- Matt Taven
- Trent Baretta
- Veda Scott
- Wade Barrett- assuming he leaves WWE and can stay healthy, then he’d skyrocket
- Matt Sydal- His name value should make him the top X target but I prefer the other cheaper guys more than him also.
- Mickie James
- Carlito- the guy literally had all the tools to be a major star, I cannot believe he hasn’t been snagged up after all these years
- Chris Hero
