For the life of me, I do not understand why management tolerates this behavior from her. Are they afraid to reprimand Velvet because it might piss her off and make her want to leave? Newsflash, TNA: Velvet Sky already wants to leave! You've been through this several times now -- Velvet's ego overrides her common sense, she leaves the company full of bravado, badmouths it while she's gone, then returns with her tail between her legs when she realizes that no one else wants to hire her, rinse, repeat. Why should TNA be wary of making Velvet unhappy when her only other option is going back to slumming it on the indies and she's already proven that this doesn't work for her?
Sure, it's clear that if WWE actually wanted Velvet, (which they don't) she'd go there in a heartbeat. And don't get me wrong, I'm sure that's true for most wrestlers, but most wrestlers are smart enough to not bite the hand that feeds them. You'd think Velvet would show a bit more tact, all things considered. After all, her clock in the business is ticking, she's not going to be able to get over with her looks forever and once those start to go, her career is pretty much done. At this stage of the game, Velvet Sky giving the impression that TNA is nothing but a paycheck for her when TNA is her best and probably only choice to actually make a decent living as a wrestler is just sad.
I hate to break it to you, Velvet, but you are not as important as you think you are. If your talent eclipsed your sense of entitlement maybe things would have turned out differently for you, but it doesn't and you are damn lucky to have had the career you've had, a career plenty of women slaving away on the indies would kill for. So if you're going to continue working for TNA, act like you actually want to be there because this company has enough stuff to deal with without your crappy attitude contributing to those "low morale" rumors that pop up every other week. And if you don't feel like you can do that, if working for TNA doesn't make you happy, then maybe it's time for you to move on. Maybe it's time for TNA and Velvet Sky to both move on.
