Dixie Carter brought out Kurt Angle as the TNA roster surrounded the ring. Lashley interrupted and hyped his match with Angle later tonight. That was a nice way to honor Kurt's contributions to TNA. I'll miss him, but I'm happy that he's leaving on his own terms. Thanks for the memories, Kurt.
Eric Young defeated Bram, Will Ospreay, Jimmy Havoc and Big Damo in a King of the Mountain match to retain the KOTM Title. Fun spotfest. It wasn't anything memorable, but it was entertaining while it lasted. I liked that short brawl between EY and Bram.
Mike Bennett and Drew Galloway had a heated confrontation about being the number one contender for the World Title. They got into a brawl before Bennett bailed out of the ring. Good promo. Bennett and Galloway are two of TNA's hottest rising stars and they're vying for the opportunity to be the next TNA World Champion. Simple, logical and - based on their match last week and promo this week - highly entertaining.
Gail Kim defeated Jade to retain the Knockouts Title. Good competitive match. I really liked the various submission holds early on, as well as the pin counters towards the end. Kudos for letting them wrestle without any shenanigans. Jade is very talented; she will be a future Knockouts Champion, for sure.
Beer Money defeated The Wolves to become the new Tag Team Champions. Wow, that was just an awesome, hard-fought, back-and-forth match. Both teams had so many close calls that it really did look like it could've gone either way. Sucks that Davey got injured, but congrats to Beer Money on regaining the titles in the UK. I can't wait to see the rematch once Davey is 100%. For now, this calls for another Beer Bash next week in Orlando.
Grado claimed that he had video proof that he was screwed out of his job with TNA. Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz got into a brawl with Grado and Shera before Grado took them out and stole the Feast or Fired briefcase. Ha ha ha, Grado will not be denied. It looks like Grado will use the briefcase as leverage to get his job back. Hell, what if Grado cashes it in to win the KOTM Title and get reinstated that way?!
Lashley defeated Kurt Angle with a spear. Afterwards, Lashley beat down Angle and took out Drew Galloway and Eddie Edwards. EC3 came out but Lashley walked away. First off, that was a great, hard-hitting match. Lashley earned the biggest victory of his career and went back to being the Destroyer that dominated the top faces again. The tease with EC3 was certainly interesting now that the roles are reversed.
Overall, I thought this was an excellent show and a very eventful way to end the UK tour. Let's see how they follow up next week when Impact goes live in Orlando.
