Madison Rayne defeated Brooke to score 3 points. Eh, it was too short for my taste. I'm guessing Brooke was legitimately injured, because some of her moves looked a bit sloppy. I did like the pre-match promo where Madison put over the Knockouts and essentially gave them a purpose in the World Title Series.
Bram defeated Rockstar Spud to score 3 points. Solid match. Both guys played their roles to tell a decent story. Spud got a lot more offense than I expected, but at the end of the day Bram is the strongest out of this group next to Drew Galloway.
Manik defeated Mandrews to score 3 points. Good back and forth match. These X Division matches have been a nice mix of high spots and technical wrestling. I'm glad that Manik is getting some wins lately. Can't say the same about Mandrews, which is so disappointing.
Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards went to a draw for one point each. Awesome match. Just straight up, no nonsense athletic competition. I loved the sportsmanship between both partners as they fought tooth and nail for 15 minutes. Kinda sucks that it went to a draw when it was so entertaining, but it makes sense. Who knows, Davey vs. Eddie can be an actual TNA World Title match someday.
There was a two-part interview with Jeff Hardy, discussing his injury and his actions at Bound For Glory. Pretty straightforward. Jeff said he's doing physical therapy to get back in the ring, and that he's rooting for Matt to win the World Title Series.
Mahabali Shera defeated Kenny King to score 3 points. Solid match. Shera did a nice job, especially when he caught Kenny with a huge Sky High for the finish. I think he just needs to tone down the dancing and add some different moves to his repertoire; then he's fine.
Eric Young defeated Bobby Roode to score 3 points. Solid match. Not as heated as their previous matches, but still a good effort. So basically a lot of wrestlers either scored their first points in the series or clinched their groups tonight. Makes sense.
Overall, I enjoyed tonight's show. Davey/Eddie was the highlight of the night. Everything else was decent, plus the Jeff Hardy interview was a nice break from the action. I also like the different scenarios that the announcers are hyping for each group. Good stuff.
