Jeff Hardy defeated Shynron in a quick match. Hardy had challenged EC3 to a World Title match, but EC3 turned him down and brought out Shynron to face him instead. EC3 cut a great promo followed by a fun match to start the show. It was a nice in-ring return for Hardy and a decent outing for Shynron. I would like to see more of Shynron, because the "Master of Motion" thing sounds cool if he gets a chance to show it in the X Division.
Awesome Kong and Jade defeated Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky in a street fight. Solid match. The backstage segment prior was well done and set up a nice brawl in the arena. The weapons spots were cool, and I also liked the chemistry with Jade and Kong.
There was a vignette for a new character named Raquel. Not much to go on besides a short monologue, but new talent is always welcome, especially in the Knockouts division.
Beer Money hosted a beer bash to celebrate their reunion. Storm and Roode talked about their history and cracked a few jokes before Bram and Eric Young interrupted to set up a KOTM Title match between Roode and Young. Great segment. Beer Money are gold when they're having fun like this.
Eric Young defeated Bobby Roode to become the new King of the Mountain Champion. Good match. These two always work well together and this was no exception. Makes sense for Roode to drop the title so he can focus on Beer Money. I don't know if putting the belt on EY makes any difference, but let's see where they go with the KOTM Title in 2016.
Mr. Anderson hosted a new talk show with Matt Hardy, Reby Sky and their baby as his first guests. Hardy talked about his goal to regain the World Title and said he has an offer EC3 can't refuse. Well, that was... something. It served its purpose, but yeah, that was not very good. Anderson can be entertaining, though, when he pushes people's buttons.
The Wolves and Tigre Uno defeated Eli Drake, Jessie Godderz and DJ Z in a six-man tag match. DJ Z superkicked Jessie, leading to a double team from the Wolves for the win. Fun match with lots of energy from both teams. They billed it as a "Champions Showcase" and that's basically what we saw. Both the Tag Team and X Division have a nice foundation, and if we get more exciting talents and storylines in 2016, then I have no complaints.
EC3 and Matt Hardy had a face to face confrontation to set up a World Title rematch. Matt offered to put his career on the line, and EC3 countered with a Last Man Standing match. Wow, talk about raising the stakes! EC3 has proven he can win matches clean, while Hardy is becoming desperate to regain the title for himself and his family. It has all the makings for a classic double turn, if executed well. Should be interesting to see what happens.
Kurt Angle defeated Drew Galloway in the main event. Awesome match. Both guys went all out and delivered a hell of a performance. I don't mean to sound like Drew Galloway, but damn it... Stand Up for wrestling. Because that was wrestling. On a wrestling show for wrestling fans. Impact Wrestling. Wrestling, wrestling, wrestling. Good night.
