Awesome Kong defeated Brooke to score 3 points and advance to the next round. Fun match with a great story. I was very impressed with Brooke as she put up a hell of a fight and mixed her offense against a larger opponent. It's a shame that Brooke has left TNA, but she sure looked strong on her way out. #ThankYouBrooke
EC3 and Matt Hardy had a face to face interview via Skype. Nice exchange to tease their eventual match in the World Title Series. I'm guessing they will meet in the semi-finals just to switch things up, and then one of them (hopefully EC3) will go on to win the title.
Tigre Uno defeated Manik to score 3 points. As a result, there is a three-way tie between Manik, DJ Z and Tigre Uno. Good match. Group X Division has been the most consistent in terms of match quality, and this was no exception. The tie-breaker is a nice touch in the spirit of competition.
Eric Young defeated James Storm to score 3 points and advance to the next round. Solid match. EY did a great job as usual, playing his heel character and using every dirty tactic to win the match. Kinda weird to hear the announcers taking jabs at Storm after everything he's done in TNA, but I wish him the best with NXT.
Mahabali Shera defeated Aiden O'Shea to score 3 points and advance to the next round. Eh, it was a pretty basic match. Not good, not bad - just somewhere in the middle. Group Wildcard was all Shera from the beginning, so it's no surprise he did a clean sweep.
Eli Drake defeated Crimson to score 3 points and advance to the next round. Solid match. Interesting finish as Eli submitted Crimson with a standing armlock. Maybe he's more versatile than I thought. The fact that Eli is the first to advance from Future Four gives me hope that he'll be used better in 2016.
Bobby Roode defeated Abyss to score 3 points and advance to the next round. Solid match. Both guys work well together, although the finish was weak. Abyss loses to a spinebuster, really? As a Roode fan, I hope he goes as far as possible in this tourney.
Overall, I enjoyed tonight's show. The announcers hyped the significance of "Win or Go Home" and the wrestlers delivered some solid matches to progress to the Round of 16. EC3 and Matt Hardy were entertaining in their segments as well. Now that group play is almost over, I'm curious to see how they'll match up the next brackets.
