Matt Hardy defeated Robbie E to score 3 points. Solid match. Robbie held his own and got some good offense against Matt. I think it's safe to say that Matt will do a clean sweep of his group and advance to the next round (and probably the finals).
Drew Galloway defeated Grado to score 3 points. Fun match. Both guys were fired up and basically ran a sprint out there. They hit some stiff chops and suplexes before Galloway exploded with the running boot for the win. Solid showing for the boys from ICW.
Aiden O'Shea defeated Crazzy Steve to score 3 points. Eh, it was just there. Steve has no chance in hell of winning any of these matches, so... whatever. At least we got to see the Boomstick again, for old time's sake.
James Storm defeated Abyss to score 3 points. Storm tried to talk Abyss into taking a count out before the match, but Abyss punched him instead. Good match. I liked that they mixed things up with more brawling, weapons use, and false finishes.
DJ Z defeated Tigre Uno to score 3 points. Great match. I like when the X Division guys are let loose like this. DJ Z looked awesome and got a much deserved victory for the first time in a long time. I wonder if this will be a New Japan thing where DJ Z gets a title shot after the series.
Gail Kim defeated Awesome Kong to score 3 points. Great back and forth match. Gail looked terrific as she mixed her offense with kicks and submissions, as well as using her speed and agility to take the fight to Kong. I liked the finish where Gail reversed the Awesome Bomb into a hurricanrana for the win. Kudos to Gail and Kong for an excellent performance in the main event.
Overall, I enjoyed tonight's show. There were much more diverse matches in terms of style and psychology. The Knockouts, in particular, deserve a lot of credit for a fantastic main event. They also did a good job building the matches with video packages throughout the show. Another fun night of wrestling, in my opinion.
